Trinity Laban Youth Dance Company

Trinity Laban Youth Dance Company is a performance company of creative, committed 12-18 year old dancers.

TLYDC works with guest artists and professional dance companies to devise and perform new choreography.

Company members meet weekly for company class and rehearsals.  In their weekly session company members warm up, learn and create choreography, rehearse and refine their performance skills.  Additional sessions to create work and perform take place across the year; with creative intensives typically taking place on a Sunday or during school holidays.

This year Trinity Laban Youth Dance Company are working with three choreographers to create three works in a range of dance styles.  First up, Bismark Anobah is choreographing a Hip-Hop piece for performance at our Youth Dance Platform.

TLYDC will be collaborating with Animate musicians to create a work for performance at U.Dance: London Regional Platform.  Led by choreographer Roseann Dendy (Tough Boys Dance Collective) and composer Aga Serugo-Lugo TLYDC and young musicians will experiment side-by-side to create a new work that breaks through the boundaries of musician or dancer.

The final work of the year will be created with choreographer Sara Dos Santos for performance in July.
