Dance Ability: Independent Dancers

Event details

Dance Ability is specifically designed for young dancers with cognitive and/or physical disabilities, or who identify as neurodivergent.

A fun and creative class, using props, music and movement to boost confidence, physicality and social interaction skills.

Our Independent Dancers class is for young dancers who seek to be more independent and wish to develop their creative movement & dance skills.

I would like to attend the Independent Dancers class because I feel ready to explore my movement and work with other dancers like me, without the support of my parent / carer.

Every Saturday
Venue location Laban Building

SE8 3DZ

Price: £9.50/ £4/ £2 per class
Recommended Age: 8-12 years (School Years 4-7)

We are currently offering a Carers & Dancers class for children aged 5-8 years on Saturdays.

If a session for independent dancers sounds like the right class for your young person, please register your interest through the form above, or by contacting us at: childrensprogramme@trinitylaban.ac.uk / 020 8305 9390. We will then be in touch when this class is available to book.

If your young person is older than the recommended age and are still interested in registering for our Independent Dancers class, we would love to hear from you and learn more about your child.

Access & Support Needs

Participants will be asked to disclose information about access and support needs when paying for classes.

We will then contact you for further information, and implement reasonable adjustments as required.  This might include Assistant Support, use of communication tools, reducing the potential for sensory overload etc.
