Singing for Parkinson's
The Plumstead Centre, Greenwich
Alternate Fridays
Event details
This friendly choir is designed to improve the voice and help manage some of the symptoms of Parkinson’s whilst taking part in a fun and social activity.
Led by a trained Singing for Parkinson’s practitioner, a typical session will begin with a vocal and physical warm up to practice breathing techniques before learning and singing some well-known songs. Tea and coffee will be provided and either a speech and language or physical Occupational Therapist will attend every session to answer questions.
The group welcomes all levels of capability and mobility and no previous experience of singing is required.
