Alongside her research, Rebecca teaches on the BA Contemporary Dance, BSc Dance Science, MA Performance, MA/MFA Dance Science, and Graduate Diploma programmes at Trinity Laban. She supervises dissertation students and teaches release-based contemporary technique, research methods, dance history, and culture perspectives in dance.
Rebecca completed her PhD at the Centre of Dance Research in 2019. She holds an MA in Dance with Distinction from London Contemporary Dance School (2010) and a BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre with First Class Honours from Trinity Laban (2008). Rebecca has worked as a visiting lecturer at Bird College, Coventry University, London Studio Centre and the University of London. In 2019 she was invited to be a member of the contemporary dance technique assessment panel at the English National Ballet School.
Rebecca is co-editor of ‘Digital Annotation and the Understanding of Bodily Practices,’ a special issue of the International Journal of Performance Arts and Digital Media. As a dancer, Rebecca has worked with Yvonne Rainer and Cat Patterson, performing in Yvonne Rainer: Dance Works (2014) and the BBC4 documentary Dance Rebels: A Story of Modern Dance (2015).
