Careers support

Pay it forward

We offer a range of activities for alumni to support students in their long term career development. These include in person events such as our Voices from the Industry series – where alumni speak to current students – and our flagship Trinity Laban Innovation Awards, which provide funding and mentorship from alumni and industry partners for graduating students.

Alumni speakers are regularly invited to deliver sessions on a range of careers related topics specific to courses and subject areas. If you are interested in sharing your insights with our current students, please contact alumni@trinitylaban.ac.uk.

Careers services

What’s on offer?

We provide a range of industry specific careers services that can be accessed by alumni. These services are organised by our Careers and Entrepreneurship Coordinator. Careers services are open to graduates from the previous three years, and alumni from any year can sign up to receive our weekly careers bulletin.

One-to-one career advice

A one-to-one careers appointment can be an excellent way for you to access guidance on a wide range of topics: choosing the right career path for you, finding the most appropriate resources and opportunities, writing your CV or completing application forms, interview techniques, filling in funding applications and much more.

Book your online or in-person one to one careers appointment using our booking form and select the right appointment type for you – General Guidance, CV Check or Funding Application Support. You will receive further information about how to prepare for and make the most of your session.

Bespoke resources

Our weekly careers bulletin is an industry-leading roundup of job opportunities within the performing arts. We enjoy very strong relationships with industry employers, who regularly share opportunities to target applications from Trinity Laban students and alumni. All alumni will receive the bulletin for three years post graduation, unless they choose to opt out, but if you graduated longer ago, you can opt in to receiving it at any time.

Current students access bespoke careers resources within our virtual learning environment, Moodle. As an alum you can access these resources by emailing careers@trinitylaban.ac.uk.

Funding opportunities

Final year students may be eligible to apply for the Trinity Laban Innovation Awards – find out more on Moodle or find some inspiration by reading about previous winners.

Early Career Support Grant

Graduates from the last five years can apply for up to £500 to assist them in pursuing professional development opportunities if a financial barrier exists that our support could alleviate either in part or in full. To be eligible for a grant, the professional development opportunity should significantly help you advance your career development and should be directly related to the training you received at Trinity Laban. Grants are distributed on a first come first served basis whilst funds are available.
